VIDEO SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS
Allows real time viewing, recording of images and to playback the recordings on protected areas (eg. access to buildings, external perimeters, special technical areas, areas with burglary or fire risk, areas of treasury, cash desks, etc.)
The digital video recorders (DVRs) allow continuous recording, recording at motion detection, recording on schedule, with records stored on the hard disk in order to playback later or to archive on external support. DVR with network support allow remote access via LAN or Internet for configuration and operating .
DVR's are of stand-alone type ( hardware dedicated running specific software on a Linux platform) and of PC-based type (on PC architecture and video acquisition boards) running special video surveillance software on Microsoft Windows operating system
